Just seen that Bale overhead goal. ****ing Hell ! What a strike. Best CL goal ever hands down and to do it in a final. ****ing special that.

Second one was equally as good in comedy value.

Nowhere near as good as Zidane's in 2002 imo. No doubt whatsoever that ZZ was in total control of the ball when he struck it in that perfect moment.

As for Bale's on Saturday, those bicycle kicks always look spectacular, but there is a huge element of luck when they come off. Great athleticism to strike the ball cleanly, sure, but after that it's down to providence where it ends up.

The sheer audacity of Bale’s makes it the best for me. Take nothing away from Zidane, his goal was phenomenal but Bale essentially had no right to score that goal, he barely had time to think and yet somehow managed to flip his body 90-180 degrees and hit it so sweetly the keeper (albeit it was Karius <laugh>) had no chance of stopping it.

Incidentally, when he scored for you lot at St Mary's it was noticeable that he didn't celebrate.

I don't think WHL is his Spiritual Home mate.

He celebrated at WHL against you though :)

Cant hate on that, great tekkerz.

I’ll confess something that makes me feel queasy. When I saw Zidane subbing him on, I called him a Gareth Fail. :emoticon-0110-tongu

He did celebrate, it was just rather toned down:

Here's another for comparison:

United? I’m not sure he’d be happy about being converted to a defender at this point in his career.

i love that all the Spurs boys are getting such a hard on for Bale and his return to WHL.

It will make the butthurt even more painful when he moves to United.
We're just enjoying one of our old players ruining Liverpool's season. He's not coming back to Spurs.
Have fun in the Europa League again, though. <ok>

You seem slightly, oh so slightly, obsessed with us.
