Redknapp has left spurs and now the odds are a number of players could follow suit most likely starting with Modric; if he goes you'd put money on Bale leaving as well.
Just wondered if anyone else thought we should bid for him if he does decide to go. He's an extremely talented player who's best years are definitely still ahead of him; and i believe i'm right in saying he's a boyhood united fan which surely works in our favour.
The only problem i can foresee is that we'd probably end up in a bidding war with city and to be honest i'm not sure i'd want us spending 50mil on the lad, for one i don't believe he's worth that yet and also i think massive price tags can put too much pressure on young players.
But on the other hand id hate to see us miss out on such a talented player; particularly after what happened with hazard(although based on his attitude we may have dodged a bullet there)
So basically my question is if he became available for say around 30-35 mil would you try for him ?

Levy will only sell if he feels it is totally inevitible, which as we saw with Modric last summer is not all that likely, unless players are in the last year of their contract.

And he sells for big money only, probably the most hardcore negotiator in the league, I don't fancy us paying way over the odds for him. Yes he's good, but we have very good wingers as it is, it would not present value for money in my opinion.

If Levy does eventually sell, he'll probably try to offload him in another league, probably in Italy where he's so highly rated (for obvious reasons).
