We can't sell Bentley or Jenas, Croydon.
They're on season-long loan deals.

Bassong's been linked with moves, but generally by dire sites like Goal.com.
The same with Gomes.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Bostock make another half-arsed loan move.

Alas! Young Bostock may now have realised that he should have taken the advice he was given, and stayed at Palace where he was loved and respected and, more importantly, played.

It would be nice to believe that his story could be a warning to other players, tempted by the apparently greener grass on the other side of the fence (eh, Moddy?), but I won't hold my breath.

This valuation wouldn't be far off true, except for Spurs' wage structure. Teams prepared to pay big wages will know they would be able to turn Bale's head and pay much less than this.

Except that he signed a new contract earlier this year, which doesn't expire until 2015 and that anyone bidding for him would be competing with a ton of other clubs, too.

That's the key difference (comparing the Fabregas affair). If we made it known that Bale was up for sale, we'd have every major club in the world entering into a beauty parade. Barca's pathetic £25 million would be completely swallowed up. That's just one reason why this hack-journo failure is so obviously made up.
