Well lets just say, any Manager worth his salt wouldn't let the Chairman/Owner tell him which players to play. Still, that don't mean he ain't going to become a good Manager. Gary Waddock was useless for us too but a lot of fans took it too easy on him.
If he was a permanent manager, then yes, I would agree with you. But as a player-coach filling in for a few games, well...that's a different story.
