It looks to me like its the Championship under blue, and league 1 under green, nd the numbers are just the teams in the country, not positions in the league (unless its the PL of course), so 23rd in 1998 was 3rd in the Championship,

$ games gone another 34 to go and some on here have us relegated already. Why bother following the team at all if your going on like that.

    What?

Ihave followed SAFC for almost 40 years my sad friend. What have I seen?

    ****E MOSTLY.

Will I still support them if they end up in the Northern League?

Definatly yes, so I have been through the mill with them so are you telling me to **** off?

Tell you what pal, I have had severe health problems & it brings home to you how trivial football actually is.

But does it stop us showing our passion, no, does it ****.

It's like having a right wrongun for a kid.

Doesn't matter what he does, you still love him.

    So YOU **** off.

Coming from the bloke who made the goal-line clearance with his arm, I find that statement about the derby particularly irritating.

Other than that though, he said better things than Gardner did, that's for sure.

At least you guys weren't tipped for certain relegation by almost every pundit in the game before even stepping foot on the fookin pitch this season. I find the whole concept of tipping certain teams for relegation so early on in the season (or even before it's started) very annoying.

Who has us relegated already? If we don't identify the problems soon we will definitely be down there in the mix. I think we are all hopeful that bruce has them fired up for Sunday.

my worry is that we do a west ham, every man and their dog knew that if they kept grant as manager they'd be relegated. Hope if doesn't come to it but if it does I hope our board are more ruthless

We need a Paul bracewell/Roy keane player in that midfield going around the pitch berating any player not putting it about, and i hope Bruce starts Whickham, puts Elmo on the right and Richardson on the left, tells them to get crosses in, and if we are not winning get Ji on and go for it.

Read Gardner's comments about the creativity and pace etc in this team and then look at our midfield. I'm afraid he doesn't know what he's talking about.

    Colback, Catts, Gardner, Larsson

I'm sorry lads, but that's woeful. Seriously poor. If that's our midfield we're in trouble. Im not even sure there's the capacity within our squad to make that look much better. Obviously we need to play with two strikers and put Sessegnon in the midfield.

    Ji, Catts, Larsson, Sessegnon

We have to question Bruce's thinking. Bringing in Larsson as a winger? Bringing in Gardner? These are the decisions that worry me because it shows a lack of understanding.

Football is a bit akin to art. The true beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Wheras you look at our current situation with glowing tributes and a genuine honest belief that things are going well, I have the same genuine honest belief that they are not. Both of up can't be right and for the sake of the club I hope its you not me.

However. Sundays game may well be the catalyst both ways. A good win and some goals, with some some signs the team can gel and its high Ho silver lining. A defeat and a ****e performance and it's goodnight and give over for the manager.

A very good comment, Cest. I'm with you rather than Gardner, and i also hope it's Gardner that is right not us.

He's a winger. When has he ever not been one? It's clearly his best position.

Very true about the beauty in the eye of the beholder. Got to say I haven't handed any glowing tributes to Bruce, haven't seen anyone else do so either. I do believe he's earned the right to be manager for a while longer yet however.
One thing I am certain of though. Bruce will be manager this time next week whatever happens Sunday.

You honestly think that? A 3 or 4-0 defeat and you think he'll still be manager Monday morning?
