How have the club let this happen, I mean he has signed a FIVE YEAR DEAL!!! What are the board playing at, securing a top talent for such a long time? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3145223/Everton-defender-Luke-Garbutt-signs-new-five-year-contract-stay-Goodison-Park.html
Great news that I wouldn't want to farm him out either I think he needs to be brought on for baines regularly this year to make sure he keeps his socks up..
Well, that's not going to happen now. Do you guys feel it's mutually beneficial for him to be at Fulham this year?
Yes and I'm sure Martinez and Garbutt feel the same otherwise he wouldn't be going. He has talent, but he needs to gain experience and playing Championship football for a season will give him that. His delivery from set plays can be good, but can be terrible and his defensive side shows more promise than Baines did. But he is not fit to lace Baines boots at the mention so it's a good move for all
Yes definitely. I don't agree with my fellow Blue's view that he's not fit to lace Baines boots though. The lad is quality but needs game time at a good level. He'll get that at Fulham and you'll like what you see, he's a class act hence the reason he's represented England at every level from schoolboy up and is an U21 regular despite barely getting a kick at Goodison.
Is Galloway your cover at left-back for the season, then? Played against us in the last game. Looked like he had something about him, but not sure he'd be up to an extended run if Baines were injured.
I have two words for you.........Brian Oviedo Finally back from a nasty leg break and showed in Bobby's first season he is able to cover without any problem at LB. Galloway was introduced at LB as it's less pressure and a good way to gain experience - plus we had Baines and Oviedo out and nothing to gain from Garbutt playing and not blooding Galloway. My feelings are he will form part of a back three at times this season
