Graeme Bailey just tweeted "Kevin Gameiro insists he does not want to play for any club which isnt in Europe - so not looking good for #nufc bid"

We always knew we could outbid Valencia. Our bid will always be the mroe attractive with cash up front, it's just a case of hoping the others drop out.

I'd happily be his third choice, he should see it as a positive. Come here, have a good season and one of two things could happen...

1) He has a blinder of a season, as does the club and we end up in Europe.
2) He has a blinder of a season, we don't make Europe but we get silly money for him.

Obviously there is the third possible scenario, he turns out to be worse that Stephane Guivarch.
lol don't jinx it :P

He was amazing. World Cup winner dont you know

As long as the club sells it to him that we are 2 pieces of a jigsaw away from being a top club (a striker and a rb) and that he would be pivitol to the success and getting into Europe then he might come..... If they dont we are chucked!

You want them to lie to him?

Im feeling positive about the whole situation, especially with regards to gervinho.......... we've got tiote and ben arfa who love it here and they'll be selling this place to him...being an ivory coast international playing in france nd all <party>

The problem he will have tho is that he has said he will leave Lorient and if we are the only offer on the table, he dont have much choice really, stay with a mid-table french team or double his wage in the biggest league in the world

@MsiDouglas @Scottwilsonecho I just dont see why #NUFC are pushing for someone who clearly doesnt really want to play for them...

He's right. He's making all of the noises which insinuate that he doesn't want to play for us.

He sounds like a bit of a tit to be honest. Gervinho looks more likely to come here and he's just won Ligue 1 with Lille and could have CL football. Gameiro, on the other hand, has just finished in 11th with Lorient, yet he's the egotistical helmet whinging about European football.

I think he'll sharp realise that the grass isn't necessarily greener. I mean what is 'European football'? Unless he goes to a top top team, he'll play few games in the first rounds of the CL and then get booted out. It could be under 10% of the entire season of games, yet he's basing his entire career move on it.

I agree. He hasn't done enough yet to warrant a move to a massive CL club. If he comes here, he'll get noticed by Manure, Chelski etc. and get in that way.
