My wife just turned it off, I didn't even protest, she's put some awful cooking thing on the tele... Come eat my burned **** with 5 strangers. It was terrible. Their fans are pathetic, chanting away 'This City is ours' as well despite having a half empty stadium. How many do you reckon would turn up at your place for a CL last 16 tie?
As I stated in another thread..I believe that the powers that be are destroying European football and in the process undermining the domestic cup competitions by the sheer numbers of teams in the competition and the league system played in the early stages.. I would still expect a full house at our stadium should we ever get there though..
I think most PL teams would fill their stadium for a CL last 16 game. City seem to struggle to give their tickets away. I think their club have lost their identity and their fans have started to turn their backs on the club.
I think you may have a point there... City were a traditional bread and butter club with a dedicated local following, and having loads of money thrown at them and all of a sudden attracting fans from outside the area and corporate clingons may have had a negative effect on the traditional fan-base..
I know quite a few who have backed away mate. My wife's uncle bought 6 SC's per year for about 10 years for him and his kids and wife and this season he didn't buy any.
