    Likewise and my abiding memory is seeing me and my mates teacher also in the crowd in Bunkers .. never said a word !

    You mention Denis Law reminded me of the time in Aberdeen, the local fish and chip shop proudly displayed a big framed sign, saying "Denis Law once bought fish & chips here".

    I said to the owner the first time I saw it, did he come back again? He said no, can't have been any good then I said. He wasn't a happy chappie.

    I never went back either. Not a patch on fish and chips from Hull IMO.
