We’ll never know if the result would have been any different had Nige stayed, and I agree we can’t judge the new guy in one game. What we do know though is LM was brought by JL & BT in to challenge top 6 this season, that’s what JL and BT WILL be judged against. Hopefully they’ll be proved right.
watched the highlights and interviews. It is what it was and whether we would have gotten 6 points rather than 4 we will never know as you rightly say. I think deep down though we should have been on a [ better ] roll than 4 points at this point in time.. I cant really see our points tally climb much above the present 22 until mid December, when we are likely to be in about 17th position. come the 31st of DECEMBER I cant see our points total being in the 30's so down around 18th/19th. 3 teams that have been in the doldrums Middsbro/Millwall/ Norwich all likely to to be major points gatherers along with Watford Birmingham and Blackburn........ and we play 5 of those! Sorry to appear so negative but on the face of it that is what looks like "on paper"
I fall a sleep first half that’s how **** is was. let’s say I was not inspired at all. Two months then we can see if this was better or worse.
My thoughts exactly. We seemed to be lumping long balls without much accuracy. QPR played the ‘tippy-Tappy’ stuff well, with some pretty triangles, but rarely threatened (apart from that ‘penalty’ which wasn’t awarded) I would guess that despite their obvious frustration about not being given that penalty, QPR will feel more positive about their performance than I feel about ours. Yes we got an away point, but that was with the help of the referee and you can’t bank on that happening every week.
sadly the fixtures are against us .. unless we are a fantastically quality team about to strike form 3 points from next 9 will be a bonus 8 points from next 21 will be a bonus! 11 points from next 21 will see us on the rise
Rubbish. If Pearson was in charge your looking to win this one all day long and City have been decent at QPR. No excuses. QPR havent won at home in ??? QPR were the better team should have had penalty. City put a **** of a performance in that we havent see this season a new level. Top six?? This?
The 'old' way helped Bournemouth beat Newcastle. And was I glad to see it, you lose count, and the will to live, watching Vyner and Dickie pass back and for to each other. I still think/hope LM will get a target man in January. Afraid nothing sticks with TC, it's not his game. I'm not advocating the old Wimbledon approach but ffs let's mix it up.
League 1 and 2 is the pool we’re fishing in, that’s nothing to do with Nige, that’s the budget we’re working too.
We've been like that performance for a while, nothing new.......that was his first game, was as near as dam it an NP setup
Preston - Awful Birmingham they was all over us, we was chasing shadows. Coventry - Awful Rotherham awful, masked by TC late goals but ****ing awful Sheff Weds we was rubbish QPR was bad, but so was the above in fact some of them probably worse. But let’s blame the HC who had 3 days to access the players, and forget St Nige was producing masterpieces every week. I don’t care what JL and BT said about top six, no one believes we are. I’m of the opinion it was more to do with Nige’s health and constant poking the bear regarding contract talks.
Were you impressed? not a hard question to answer. Game was won v Sheffield U. impressed no not really. this v QPR is worse unless its three points for a nil nil. City owners expect promotion no getting to know and need time or new players as we have the bestest squad already capable of challenging for promotion right now so LM has to hit the ground running. That yesterday was bottom six stuff. Bottom line. City already falling behind ppg needed for promotion.
The initial reason "at the time" to sack LJ was to progress from where we were....that was 3 years ago and its not happened. But you expect it to happen this time around in 4 days.....are you for real? Was I impressed yesterday....no I wasn't and haven't been for years....
Judging LM after January will make more sense. Atkinson, McCrorie and Williams as well as possible additions will make all the difference. Other than Leicester and maybe Ipswich I don't think it's the strongest Championship. It must be weak, how else are we half way ? Ps - Was/is Naismith carrying an injury. Can't understand why he wasn't selected yesterday.
