Got injured in his 1st season and with Alonso signing, hasnt really had a chance. Mascherano type player but is that what we need?
 
Can't we just be linked with Mata?! Please journalists.. give me some hope.

As for Gago.. I did say a few months ago he's an option we should look at; he'd add something different to our midfield that's for sure.

Paul Thompson on Twitter claims to be am "ITK". He told us about Henderson & Adam bids. He claims this morning that bid definitely submitted for Mata and he started slabbering to the big journo's eg. Tony Barrett etc mocking them for denying we had bid. He seems pretty adamant and has been reliable so far.

Yeah lots of our fans (especially foreign ones) kept asking the journo's the same question about Mata, not bothering to read timelines or do some research, so a couple of them lashed out yesterday. Makes everyone look bad. Still Rory Smith and Tony Evans are muppets from what i've seen and read, and Rory Smith's article on how if the Chinese bought us we would be after Iniesta amongst others is especially funny.

Have to say i've not discounted Paul Thompson yet, having followed him for a few week, and that sets him above 99% of supposed ITK's already for me. Now I have another reason for us to sign Mata and that's to massively embarass these self-righteous journo's. I would suggest Tony Barrett is actually one of the good guys though. LFC fan amongst other things.
 
I'd like to see Gago in. As much as Spearing has proved me wrong I dont think we should be relying on him as a nailed on starter. we only have two players that can play the deep lying midfield positions.
