I suppose Jim Stynes was the most sucessful export to Oz, only winner of the Brownlow Medal from outside australia
Denis irwin was world class, as was Kevin Moran. Kevin Doyle and Shane Long are pretty decent players. Most irish sports stars would have played at some level or another. Calling this kid who has signed for the Huns a GAA star is a bit of a stretch. He played underage level with his club. That literally means **** all. I was just illustrating players that had played at a decent level. Xavi Alonso is a world cup winner. he played Gaelic football...not a bad player.
Neil Lennon was pretty handy as well. He played at a much better level than this kid ever did. Honestly, this is like saying "Rangers have signed a fella who goes running a couple of times every week" Calling him a star is quite laughable really.
Kevin Moran? Not a decent player? Doyle is a decent player and shane Long might be. Do you not rate world cup winner Xavi Alonso? what about this guy? please log in to view this image
I've been to an AFL game before. the pitch is ****ing enormous. dont know how they ****s have the energy
Moran was mediocre, nothing special. What role did Alonso have in the Gaelic Football community? And please a pic of Ronaldo with a Hurley stick from the time Real Madrid came to the Republic.
Moran was a fantastic player. Ronaldo with a caman is as legitimate as calling this kid, who never played senior with his intermediate level club a GAA star. Alonso went to school in county Meath where he played a bit of Gaelic Football. I think the socrates one is an urban myth....as far as I know.
Seen it in a couple of places that he is the only person with an all-ireland medal and a WC winners medal, despite smoking 40 a day. Will give it a closer look
Pat Jennings. Pretty decent. Medro starts a thread about a young GAA player, who plays at the same level as half the youngsters in Ireland, then spends the rest of the thread knocking Soccer players who started playing GAA. Every one of them players played or play at a higher level than Rangers are at.
I guess I must have been a GAA star as well. More than this lad. i played senior with my club...i was muck, but i played senior.
I'll do it if i get the number 32 shirt and i'll insist on being called a corner forward as opposed to a winger.
Reason why they give Ireland the run around every compromise rules! Also the fact they are built like ****houses and bully their way round the game. Need another Graham Gerahty the Ireland team does.
