Maybe the brainwashing from the army and police has not yet worn off. The Americans are nearly always the bad guys and continue starting wars.
 
I like it when the shotgun goes off in his face and his beak ends up at the back of his head. That's just so funny. Gets me every time.

As the British bases are close to Larnaca and Limissol that's usually where the squaddies will go for a night out. As you well know valuable drinking time should not be used up on excessive traveling. Ayia Napa gets a bad name for drunkenness but I think that just the usual Brits abroad.

I go to Pathos which can get lively during the peak summer season but is usually pretty sedate. The habour area is a great place for eateries and a quiet drink.
