It used to be good but then the aussies realised that any violent conduct during the series would not be punishible with an AFL ban so turned it into an MMA contest. The rules were changes to allow bans so the AFL clubs didn't allow their best players over.

Petty really but I would say the series is irrecoverable from here.

Yesterday you were guessing my religion and you said, 'Rangers fan, from Belfast, thick as ****...must be a prod"

    Or something along those lines.

    That comment is bigoted.<ok>

    1. Did I say he made it up? Did the article say who told him Protestants shouldn't be playing the game, or did you just assume it was catholics? Did I offer a perfectly valid reason other than sectarianism that may have triggered the abuse?

    2. Like what? Taig bashing? Completely irrelevant to any argument surrounding sectariansim.

    3. YOU said it was a word defined in a court of law. YOU were wrong.

    4. A Dictionary tells you otherwise.

    you daft ****

    1. Work it out, he was the ONLY non catholic playing in Fermanagh.

    2. How is it irrelevant? Terrorists associated with a sport. Your failure to provide answer suggests exactly what I thought.

    3. He was charged with RELIGIOUSLY AGGRAVATED breach of the peace. Not just breach of the peace. Is it sinking in yet?

    4. So is the F word a sectarian slur? I don't think your defence would hold up in court if you went with the "check the dictionary" argument

Not sure if you understand, but remarks like that are sectarian.

Internet bigots can now get up to 5 years for spreading their hate.

    1. That article couldn't possibly know he was the ONLY non catholic playing in Fermanagh. Religion is not a box on any club registration form.
This does not explain in any way, shape or form explain the 24 year bigot shaped hole in your argument.

    2. It is irrelevant as it has nothing whatsoever to do with sectarianism.

    3. He pleaded guilty. there was nothing to prove or disprove. It hasn't been deemed sectarian in any court anywhere in the world....ever.

    4. You have already shown your grasp of the law to be weak. The first place you should look is a dictionary where you will find the following;

Fenian- Derogatory, offensive an Irish Catholic or a person of Irish Catholic descent.

I realise you will come back with some bullshit argument, but you have already lost. Morally, technically, legally....you've lost

I can help you with an argument if you wish?

You are a bitter blinkered fool rebel.

    1
Glasgow Rangers never had a religion tick box on any registration form either yet a vast majority of the Celtic support claim Rangers had a sectarian signing policy. Either both are sectarian or neither are.

Depending on the organisation, sectarian killings were common place during the troubles and committed by the IRA and loyalist groups. Support of these groups is deemed sectarian because it shows support of the sectarian acts perpetrated by these groups. Regardless, what has the idolisation of murderers to with sport?

He plead guilty but sentence would have been passed on the acts he plead guilty to. He was therefore punished for wearing that T-shirt because of the sectarian slogan and offence it caused. If it wasn't sectarian, he would not have been punished.

    ****ing moron.

I reckon we make Ireland united again, send all the plastics back to Ireland and give them Unionist community homes in the UK.

    Everyone is then happy.

    Now for Syria.......

    Well said.<applause>

As for the F word. Originally the name had nothing to do with religion. But looking on dictionary.com Here is what it gives as a definition.

    1. a member of an Irish revolutionary organization founded in New York in 1858, which worked for the establishment of an independent Irish republic.
    2. (in late Irish legends) a member of a group of warriors always ready to defend Ireland against its enemies.

It has since become a word used a sectarian slur.
