Yes the RS deservedly won their first premiership title. They were by far the most consistent team and throughout the season never unnecessarily dropped any points.
But how and why did that ****ing donkey Henderson win the player of the year this season? He made the most contribution to his team's victories - No. He must have scored the most goals or the most assists - No. He must have had the most 9 graded performances marked by these same writers- No.
If it is because he is the captain of the winning team then the likes of Keane should have won a hatful of these over the years. The football writers have sunk even lower in my estimation. Do they even understand football and performances? You have to feel sorry for De Bruyne. What else does he have to do. Last 2 seasons he massively contributed to the record breaking performances of the City team. He was ignored. This season no football writer can convince us that Henderson was a better player or had contributed more to their wins.
Those who think I am also saying this because of bitterness of the RS breaking their premiership duck are only partially right. More angry at the blatant injustice or is it superficial lazy nationalism in choosing an English player over a foreign one? They have ****ed up their credibility big time.
Rant over.
