Future Captain?

This lad really does seem to be future captain material. I do hope we can get him on a nice long contract and make sure he is part of our club for the long haul

I know we talked about his "rid of big egos" comments earlier . but it did make me wonder if it would hurt to give him some responsibility around the club now.

Of course, I assume he will be a good enough player to stay with us for a long time. I think he will be.

Edit: I wonder how he and Bellamy may get on...could be an interesting mix??

I think Gerrard needs to become a regular before any thought of captaincy.

I take it's Gerrard with reading in between the lines. Have to agree with Rhond, he's just come back of a season long loan so if it were any CB it should be Hudson.

Would say Whitts but he doesn't seem vocal enough, Earnie could be a good shout as he knows what this club is all about and what it means to him.
