Been married 44 years and most of out holidays have been in the UK. In the early days it was Blackpool, Newquay and Torquay/Paignton, but more recently Tenby, which is my favourite. However, wife has mobility issues and didn't want to travel far this year so we are having a week in Bridlington later this month, followed by a few nights in York next month (races for me ).
As kids we always took holidays in the UK. Mainly due to the financial aspect. We had cottages in Wales, Lakes, Scotland, Yorkshire Dales, Cotswolds etc.... As an adult, we exclusively holiday abroad these days, although partial to the odd weekend in The Lakes or up in the Lochs of Scotland
