I would prefer to move for Ewerthon who is available on a free transfer. Averaged just shy of 1 in 2 in Spain and Germany. A sensible move would be to offer him a short term deal until the end of the season with the possibility of a year or two extention if all goes well. After all he is a couple of years younger than Fuller at 29.
Take Fuller. Different option to what we have. Holds it up, tough as nails, decent feet, gives defenders something different to worry about (i.e. being bashed about) - and has always done well against us when we've played Stoke. We can't rely on Keyring to perform in that role weekly. Other teams defenses will catch us out too easily. We caught Blackpool by suprise + they play very openly hence it worked. We have to able to mix it up.......or get Kevin Davies if we can!
We may take Fuller yet I reckon if he doesn't get Rodallega for the right price. I reckon Bruce is trying to get the price for Fuller down. He would be a great short term signing for all the reasons Prague refers to. He's a beast. Strong and tough.
Agree- all to do with Bruces dealing tactics. He is way too shrewd to get shafted on this front..... Makes it all the more interesting for our speculative ponderings
Pulis on SSN saying we have made offer, and in talks with Stoke! Says so are other clubs. Sunderland still saying no offer made.
