    Chris Ramsey:

“We always talk about stopping crosses in training and I felt we let two crosses get across the box far too easily. We allowed them to play quality, rather than hopeful crosses in to the box and it hurt us. Once you let crosses come into the box like that, it’s always difficult to defend against".

****ing hell, can we cut Furlong a bit of slack? Debut, kid etc etc. If we never risk playing lads like him we are condemned to buying old professionals with no association with the club forever. He did really well over all, great to see 2 young R's playing for the first team at the same time. I genuinely can't remember the last time that happened. Good sign, Hopefully some of those out on loan at the moment, and the 'bought in' new talent - Robinson, Donaldson, Magri (wtf happened to him?) will also make the grade and not be loaned out next year. Harriman and Ehmer are no longer kids, they have been loaned out forever, hopefully CR can make an assessment of them to see if they have a role too, otherwise surely they have to move on.

Personally I thought Green and both the CBs could have done much better for the goal.

Stan, I don't think that the main thrust of this thread has been to criticise Furlong. I think we all agree that the centre backs were most at fault for that second goal.
