I think he just posts drivel, waits for someone to organise it into something that makes a bit more sense then claims that it's obviously what he meant and we're all idiots for not getting it. Which is why when we ask him to explain himself he can only say things like "work it out if you can do" and "it's quite easy really" Also, nobody gives a **** about Luton vs Wolves so it won't be on TV
Standard formula for selecting FA Cup games. Priorities: 1) Manchester Uniteds game. 2) Liverpools game. 3) 'Big' 6 Vs 'Big 6'. 3) Lower league side at home to a Premier League side tie. 4) FA Cup Holders. 5) Whatever is next as the most attractive tie for ratings. What I suggested covered the first four priorities and yours was the fifth.
Thats what i said in the first place. Shame i Just had to spell it out for you. When it comes to drivel you are way ahead in the drivel stakes. Are you any relation to G Lloyd by chance ? TWT, on what cup games are picked. I would not totally disagree with some of your formulee, But the TV folks also like a good potential shock. Luton now being non-league v. championship side Wolves could well be a shock especially the way Wolves are playing at the moment.
FA Cup Third Round Televised Ties: ITV: Brighton v Newcastle - Sat 5th Jan 2013,12:30pm West Ham v Man Utd - Sat 5th Jan 2013,5:15pm ESPN: Swansea v Arsenal - Sun 6th Jan 2013,1:30pm Lincoln/Mansfield v Liverpool -Sun 6th Jan 2013,4pm Cheltenham/Hereford v Everton - Mon 7th Jan 2013, 7:45pm Told you so
You did cover most options yes. IMO, Better choice of matches could have been selected overall. The Palace v. Stoke, Bolton v. Sunderland and Luton v. Wolves games also offer shocks. But then again ITV have to max there coverage I guess with WHU v. MU. ITV also to announce which saturday games will get extended highlights for the saturday night show,. 3 out of the 5 are ok. But would Swansea beating Arsenal again be classed as a shock ?
Yes I cant deny I edged by bets by selecting 9 matches for 5 live TV slots, but like you say, its all about the ratings.
