Should’ve been 2 up and playing against 10 by HT. In the end the stats say a draw about right. Any point away in the PL is OK but a shame it wasn’t three from the first half dominance.
Thanks for your company all. I am off to California for 4 weeks soon so I am not expecting to catch any games live until end October but will be following with interest and hope we continue our current form. We now have 32.5% of the points needed for safety.
Need to be more ruthless really. Still can look forward to the Emirates now as we should be able to give them a decent game. Enjoy the rest of the weekend all.
Given our away form at the end of last season, a well deserved point. Credit to Fulham they were much better second half.
A game of 2 halves. Played well 1st half pressing high and creating chances but Slav did his usual tactical change as he often did for us and it worked I guess. We got sloppy and lost any real control - although still had some dangerous moment. Not sure we got the best out of our midfield apart from Capoue and they handled Deeney/Gray much better after the break. Defence was ok but could have done more maybe to stop the ball coming into the near post? Oh well - point better than nothing on the road.
I was at University around the corner. I just congratulated him on his success and told him how much I loved the Sylvan Moon in Northwood, telling him a story of how I helped out one time with the flooded pub. No political gain to be had.
Fulham lucky not to have a man sent off in the 1st half ? The player himself even apologised afterwards!
Didn’t see the game live and only seen MOTD now. Penalty for Hughsey all day long and Danny Murphy said ‘no’ on MOTD. WTF? Mawson gets no touch on the ball so if he doesn’t give the pen he’s got to book Hughes for a dive!?
Deeny played with three broken toes apparently - https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/7326329/watford-deeney-playing-broken-toes/
Thought a draw was a fair result - but really disappointing after our first 45 minutes. 3-0 would have flattered Fulham. Get clinical boys !! However, I wanted to ask if VAR would have been applied to Fosu-Mensah's tackle on deeney, or should have been ? if so, only 1 outcome. It really was horrible. And after Wright's going on and on and on about Capoue on Zaha , why was there not more flak for Fosu mensah ? My forecasting is hopeless ( see the predictions table!) but I hope we can get a point at he arse, beat b'muff, draw at Molineux (perhaps more as hey are open) and thrash 'Uddersfield. 21 from 10 games. How about them apples ?
After going ahead so early then we controlled for the 1st 60 min and then they used there subs we should should have been clear before then . A draw was the least we should have got . But at the end we could have lost it
It wasn't as if we missed our chances as such, it was our abject failure in the build up time and time again. Poor crosses, poor passes, poor decision making.
We'll soon be setting out for MK to see our first away game in ages. Hopefully can find decent parking fairly near, my daughter hates walking too far. COYH's
Hi Brian, after driving through the clogged streets near the stadium we found a car park on the industrial estate fairly near. Paid a young guy £10 to park, not sure he was acting officially, but wheels still on after the game. We got away really quickly, my daughter's friend was still stuck in a car park when we actually reached home. Our reserves did well on the night.
On the walk back there was a crash on the A5 so it was holding everything up so we had a pint to let it clear got back about midnight
