Patchwork team starts slowly shock. Come on, it’s not all been bad at all. Diallo looks technically capable, but lacks the physical presence of Romeu. Jack has been okay. There’s no point Shane being on the field though. Going to be a scrappy result however it goes, but can absolutely win this. We need to keep Lookman quiet though.
Scrappy doo game but definitely winnable. A single moment of quality will probably be enough. Just hope it's for us.
I’d take Long off and let one of the kids have a run. There’s signs of a leader in Adams for me, which is great to see. Stu still isn’t quite back to his pre-Covid levels.
Lee Hendrie, despite his voice not fitting his face, talks with the knowledge of someone who doesn’t just watch the ‘big six’ teams. Really quite refreshing.
It’s a game with no flow to it. If we can keep possession better and get them chasing the ball a bit more, we can get on top and win this. I’d be looking to replace Shane as he doesn’t seem to be quite in it (which is expected having not played). Try the lad with the good first touch.
Is this where Ralph earns his bonus, by rearranging things, and/or convincing the players that they are capable of winning this?
