That Bournemouth game was the last time I saw Saints win. And if it weren't for Wigan, West Brom, and Fulham away in the Cup, I'd have to go back almost two years for the game before that, because I missed Everton last season. When did we beat West Ham with a jammy pen? Almost impossible to remain positive in those circumstances.
From this BBC article at the very end: "You don't get too giddy when you are doing well, and you don't get too down when things aren't going your way." He’s found Nigel’s book https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46315127
Heard on Sky earlier that Ings has been involved in 63% of our goals which is the highest in the league. Gulp...
Would have to be in the first 60 or so then. Assuming Ings is out Austin will start and he won't last the 90.
That would be silly given the success Gabbi had cutting in against Watford. Gabbi is not a centre forward.
Obafemi with a late winner after replacing the statue.* Like that line up though if Gabbi is behind the striker. *desperate reverse jinx attempt.
Looks like Fulham are playing a back five. With either Chambers playing out of position at LWB, or Sessegnon playing a bit deeper at LWB (and Chambers in midfield). Good news for us, either way.
Presumably it's the exact same set up as it was against Watford, with Gabbi coming in off the right. Targett and Charlie just enforced straight swaps.
He wasn't on the bench last week either. I haven't heard that he's injured. Tbh, he can't complain. He was excellent under Puel - possibly our best player that season. He allowed us to get over the loss of Wanyama for that year (unlike Pelle, Mane). But since then, Romeu has been pretty awful. To the extent that he now can't even get on the bench.
