I'm not sure how this game will go for us, can't disagree with many points of view so far. There were signs of improvement v Watford, yet concerns still exist re our ability to see our a game. Our goal record is poor though with the exception of Man C, the defence, though still a touch fragile has been better overall.Fulham have a new a good manager, are playing at home for his first game, so the odds are on them to get the result of a win. But let's see, whatever happens there's a life afterwards with much more important issues to deal with and face!!
It's match day, it's early, I'm drinking coffee, therefore I'm optimistic. I love these calm moments before the storm.
Reference the new manager bounce. Didn’t we win at Palace in Hodgson’s first game? Any straw will do.
I like straw....very comforting. I think there was an article reporting that the new manager bounce isn't that common? Anyone else remember that?
https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-s...ounce-its-all-down-to-lady-luck-idUKKBN1EF1NM Found this article...says in a low scoring game like football it can all come down to luck (or chance if you prefer) where a small thing can be the difference between a win and a loss or draw. Suggests that if a team is playing ok but not winning enough, there will be a change in fortune whether the club changes the manager or not. I suspect that is what Saints are hoping for because we are certainly not getting our share of fortunate occurrences* *Trying to avoid the word luck as I know some fans twitch as if we are suddenly talking voodoo**. **No cultural appropriation is intended or implied.*** ***Modern life is so hard.
I was going to travel for this one but baulked at the price - mate had got 4 tickets in the neutral section at £50 a piece. As it turned out Fulham have written to him and withdrawn the tickets because they noticed his SO postcode. He said he has been doing this for years and not sure why this has suddenly happened. Is it legal to withdraw something that had been paid for and handed over?
Only if you assume had we not beaten Bournemouth that Swansea would still lose to us and Stoke. *league
