Gabbi coming in off the right. Armstrong in the hole. Yes it's taken a little while, and we've gone through a whole heap of pain in the meanwhile, but a few building blocks are seemingly being put into place.
Armstrong making a big deifference these last couple of games, IMO. Even without the goals. Finally some link up between midfield and the strikers and we can attack through the middle and also hold the ball in the final third fir some sustained presseure. Defending still sucks, though. Also starting t feel more and more like Hughes is not just failing to elevate the team, he’s dragging it down. We’re not great, but I think we do have enough talent to stay up.
I'd rather this than MP, who was given until March and still never got anywhere close to getting it right.
True. Now all we need is for him to realise Austin is a statue and Hoedt can’t kick a football and we may have a chance of staying up
Or actually utilise a transfer window for once. I don't care if it's Hughes, MP, or Pep in the dugout. The board need to sign a decent striker. Ings cannot do it by himself - and as today shows, we won't always have him. For god sake...
