It was painful to watch on a stream. I feel sorry for those that made such an effort to get to the game like you nines.
I am the lucky one obviously...I had a ticket...30 quid. The shut hit the fan about 4.00 yesterday when some idiot dropped some samples into the liquid nitrogen storage system......sounds exciting but we spent 2 hours in full protective gear with a small chip pan basket fishing them out.... leaving Oxford after 6 and hitting traffic .......I gave up....I was gutted So I think that was 30 quid well spent.....not seeing the debacle. So England fans...you are guaranteed winners tonight. Thursday night, my premier league quiz team...lost to a division 1 team for the first time in about 3 years...cannot explain that, other than they were better than we were. Friday...the R were diabolical My team Wales will be humiliated by the thug team Lancaster has put out. Col....you need to look after your cat tonight
Agree. I made a big effort to get it set up so I could watch a decent picture on the laptop, and still feel sick this morning. Must of have been worse to have paid to watch that there. All credit to the great support given by the 4 or 5 thousand that did go and see what was even one of our worst performances in a long time.
Nines that takes me back to Forest away when we got twonked 5 nil. I for the first time ever left early as i couldn't take any more of the ineptitude on display. Chin up, it was ever thus following the Rangers
Full credit for the effort Nines, there have been far too many awaydays like this in the past four years. I have to admit I didn't renew my membership for the first time this season and, apart from Stan Bowles Day, am loathe to waste my time and money watching the dross we are serving up at present. I really do fear we are going the way of Wolves in a terminal nosedive, the side appears contaminated by whatever is turning supposedly good players into shyte and it may well get worse before it gets better...
Sorry mate, I wasn't trying to teach you how to suck eggs. You're absolutely right of course. Charlie has never been suited to playing the lone role and nothing has changed. He was one of our worst players, although he had plenty of competition! I feel that the players behind Austin look good enough to make that system work, but it clearly isn't working. The fact that Phillips and Chery seem unwilling to work back much isn't helping the defence either. It would appear that Ramsey just can't get them motivated. Maybe a 4-4-1-1 with Fer in the hole would be better?
I fear that one of the cats could be in mortal danger Beth. By the way, it's a bit rich calling the England team "thugs" when Wales are renowned for their physical approach.
Unfortunately, we have been 'performing' like that for some time. Where is the passion, grit and pride we had?
We just don't have leadership either on or off the pitch On it we have Ned who seems to turn into a mute as soon as he gets onto the pitch, and off it we have Ramsey who seems to spend the entire 90 minutes staring into the middle distance with his arms crossed Why is it an opposition manager can show more passion, shouting instructions to his players when they are cruising towards 3 points at 4-0 up, but our entire management team just looks as though they wished they'd stayed at home and watched Eastenders?
I think I was there for that one too mate. Was it the League Cup game when Cloughie clumped two of his own fans at the end? I remember Pearce was really fired up and scored, grabbed the fencing where we were gathered and started roaring at us.
Ironically one of the few players who I thought came out of last night with any credit was Konchesky, and he's just on loan! If only his passion and energy, particularly in the second half, could've been copied by the remainder of the team we might at least have put up a decent fight as a unit
okay the day after and i have cooled down. Benny has to go! Simply not good enough. That team should be right up there. He has had enough time to sort. What is worse is that the division is poor and he is making us look even poorer. Good coach but sh2te manager. Get in someone who knows what to do (Big Sam/Pearson). Had enough of this clown now. I said from day one he was wrong man and sadly i was right.
The last two times we were 0-3 down after 30 minutes at fulham, it was at least against an established premiership Team. To see it happen a third time in a row but this time against a middling championship Fulham was painful.
There is something defiantly missing cos I honestly don't believe chery and Phillips should concentrate on working back unless absolutely necessary. It defeats the purpose of his formation. Why play 2 holding midfielders and expect the players supporting austin to constantly track back. Doesn't make sense to me mate
