A crap pass led to a worldy goal and yet another great goal later on was the difference. Georginio scored one but ruled out and he was unlucky hitting the post later on. We matched them in effort and class for the whole game. Disappointed but thats football, we didn’t look like relegation fodder

Georginio needs a bit more mph but he showed he was much better than Paddy who has been pointless for weeks. When was Bamfords last shot at goal …… that he connected with?

I'm glad Gracia noticed we need composure in front of goal, that's been one of our downfalls, whether they can manage it is a different matter

He also mentioned confidence and that it becomes a circle you need to be in or break if you’re out. When asked about fixing it he said only two places, the pitch and the training ground.

Now if that was Jesse they’d be sitting down today to listen to a confidence coach. Tomorrow they’d be watching Netflix together and Friday reading some book.

This is the difference between Jesse and a real coach

The difference in the 2 teams was the quality.
Pereira, Palhinha and Solomon cost them the same as we paid for Rutter.
They were direct and incisive, going forward they had a plan and a purpose. Mitrovic dropped deep and we couldn't handle him. He was linking up play and taking several of our headless chickens completely out of the game.
I thought Koch was immense, without him we'd have conceded more.
Gnonto is our only quality player but teams know that so they don't let him have any space. Some of the passing at the back was ridiculous. A few times left and right the ball was played to a player trapped on the touchline with an opponent next to him.
I do have faith that Javi will make us better but he's got his work cut out.
I'm not impressed with McKennie either, I don't see what he offers us.
Going forward we either turn away from goal, letting the defence organise, pump a pass that's way too long or simply just give it away.
We've got to get past the hustle and bustle and start thinking about what we're doing.
They had a 35 year old CB against our flying forwards so if we had anyone who could pick a fkn pass we'd have been in.
In my opinion the two goals were worldies that you just cannot defend against.
That's what good players can do.

To make a ridiculous point I searched under 9s football thinking I'd get a video of kids running round the pitch chasing the ball.
    I didn't.

These kids pass better than us, shoot better than us and have more composure in the box.

You can't really but you can go back to doing the basics well. For example with shooting its pretty much head over the ball and hit it hard and low. Basic I know, but I think our lot need to go back to basics now.

Might have to do with playing with no spectators. Our players and Bamford in particular were at their best when there were no spectators. Close Elland Road for remainder of season and ban tv cameras and well be fine <ok>

VAR looked at it and agreed it was a push. VAR checked the Kane goal against us in the 4-3 and agreed it wasn't a push. **** VAR it's BS

This is the main reason I get frustrated with the game. The decisions are just so inconsistent game to game.

<applause> the whole point of VAR was that it would cut out any contentious decisions.<grr>

    quite... you can't

it's the first sniff of bullshit from Javi

Players practice finishing all the time. What they can't recreate is the pressure of doing it in a match situation. Maybe they should fine the cnuts for every miss in training to add a bit of pressure
