As usual I will go to the game more in hope than expectation. Fulham are a very good side and protected by their premiership parachute payment, but as I said before they are beatable having been beaten twice this season like we have.

We have a habit of playing better against the better sides.

They were great, but I watched them from my Swindon bedroom.
I nearly got barred from Longs Bar for celebrating too loudly and using colourful language that night of the second playoff game!!

    That Hartlepool game was loud.
Liverpool with 38,000 was imo the loudest.

uuuuuumm so not exactly a "lake" just a big pond? .. had visions of stream cascading in and flowing out ……………. where I go on a Tuesday landowner lost 3 ponds full of koi pond was situated over the old ancient coastline skirting the mendips, the limestone cliffs under it/ them became sink holes and drained them in a matter of an hour or so. Now moved the pond 150 m, scraped the surface to bedrock to make sure no more sinkholes, covered in clay and voila a lovely pond 6 years on about 80m x 90m at low water about 100m x 90m after the rainy season …. not introduced anything but has swans ducks wild fowl frogs toads water snails etc etc no fish yet …. having lost over 250 koi .. not ready to restock again ….yet ….

To quote Basil Fawty "Well may I ask what you expected to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plain..."

City fans call Ashton Gate a library. Bristol City do have fans who can come up with original ideas, City fans created the unique and raucous flag day but that is outside the ground. Inside efforts to do different to the homogenised and gentrified environment have been quelled by stewarding and Bristol Sport.

Singing fans in the Dolman have been instructed to go into the club authorised and monitored singing section (it is full), efforts to put up flags require meetings, Bristol Sport post meetings then turn down the requests as there is an authorised area (one) for flag display again the singing section.

The result is hardly surprising, a atmosphere that has worsened post redevelopment and a only sing when your winning crowd.

Is it a Bristol thing? That sounds like a similar process to approving the Tramway which was being argued about when I was at primary school - and the Portishead line with the Ashton Gate halt?
.. have a furious debate about it and do nothing

... not to mention the Ashton Vale development!

When I was in China a few years ago, our Shanghai tour guide took us up to the top of the Shanghai tower where you could see all across Shanghai. He was a bit 'political' and proudly said 'you in the west are proud of your democracy, where everyone has a voice and the right to challenge things. We build this metropolis that is modern Shanghai in less than 40 years. In Britain your politicians would still be arguing over the shape, size and location of the first building..!!!'
It's true. That's one of the negative sides of living in a democracy.

Never known it any different in all my life. Virtually no decisions are made for the good of all Bristolians.

Last Wednesday week walking from Hotwells to AG, you have take your life in your hands, cyclists and twats on these stupid dangerous scooters on pavements riding at speeds that Mark Cavendish would be proud of, not making any attempt to deviate for pedestrians and the amount of scooters on the road, I would wager all without insurance, but apparently really good idea according to marvellous Marvin. The best bit was after the game seeing pissed up people coming out of the Robins pub and riding off into the moonlight on these death traps.

At the moment it’s doubtful that I will be there to watch our first home win. With my back at the moment sitting on a hard seat for over an hour does not seem fun for me. It’s 25/75 at the moment, hopefully I will try and time it with a tramadol high to get through it.

I herniated a disc whilst in France, looked like the leaning tower of Pisa when I walked, pain like no other, including a car smash, loads of drugs, 3 spinal injections from a Herbert Lom lookalike and a bespoke moulded girdle and shedloads of physio, took nearly a year to get back to normal, just have to be so careful these days.

The cause pulling me skiddies up I fecking sneezed.
