Jermaine Pennant does not start regularly and yet has 6 assists in 7 games. Go figure.

Gave ourselves a mountain to climb, and weren't up to the task.

Much better in the second half, but by then it was too late.

    Disappointed, but not surprised.

And Pulis departs to chants of 'you picked the wrong team'

Tony Gale: Stoke too predictable with two big front men but much better after substitutions, which should have been made earlier.

How is it that everybody except for Pulis can see what needs to be done?

That's 1 win in 9 matches, we were 8th but are now 13th and sliding. Next 2 home games are now 'must win' games. 40pts seems a long way off. Will have to watch MOTD tonight to see how we performed today but things are not looking good at the moment.

Oh well whats done is done - thank god we got the points early on in the season!

The next 2 home games are a must not lose because we then have Chelsea, Spurs and Man City - oops!

The Wolves game could be a biggy?

This season has been generally been poor all the way through, we did get those points at the very start of the season but without playing well. I thought we played well against Fulham and Man Utd. at home but to be honest, I think that is probably it. We have been pretty fortunate to get to the position that we are in and this run of results must be our luck catching up with us; I thought it would happen sooner in truth

Having just listened to TP on radio Stoke I cannot believe his comment saying we were the better teamand should have won!! Half the interview he was still going on about the Huth tackle and the injustices that have befallen us.He cannot accept that we were better as soon as he made the subs.especially Pennant who does at least get in better crosses which is crucial to our style of play.I cannot see where he expects to get goals from in open play. Everybody except TP can see what our best line-up is and it includes 2 wingers-GENUINE wingers NOT Walters ( who is playing like he`s knackered). It is a good job we`ve got the points we have but we`ll definately be in the relegation fight at the end of the season because there`s not a good enough goalscorer in the squad. As has been stated many times our midfield does not give enough support to the front men and with the continual hoof up from the defence just what does he expect Crouch ( or whoever is up front with him) to do?? Jones is totally useless,Fuller is past it (let`s be honest he`s done nothing for the last couple of seasons, and when he does come on he seems to do nothing but whinge and foul).Jerome ,like Pennant, can`t seem to get in the starting line-up or fot that matter as a sub.for most games. I could go on but feel like I`m `p-----g in the wind`knowing full well that nothing will change TP or his tactics . We`ve been well and truly `sussed` .Sorry for the rant.

    Joe,
NO PROBLEM it isn't a rant in my book buddy.. I had to dash out a ten too 3... urgent things to do and my car radio feekin packed up!
I did listen to P and G Joe..
Had to smile when Pulis said.. we we're doing OK first half F F sake? I will await someone's comments when they get back from the game!

    NO Pennant?
    Pennant for Ehterington?
    NO Jerome?
Walters is utterly knackered and ?? DID he have to play wide right today fella's I missed the commentary.. glad to see Palacios start and will be interesting to see MOTD.
SO many fans moaning about Pulis on P and G too! NO TONY we're NOT all as stupid as you Sir... sort yourself out NOW.
WHY complain about a tackle i've not seen it yet?? Just SORT our TEAM OUT sharpish.

Now?? Bring on Valencia and mark my words guy's. I'll wager that, we atcually GO FOR IT, on Thursday night. Which, by the sounds of it we should have done that today.

Not surprised at all by this defeat to be honest.
