I am hoping Tootif will be a cup team as my chances of doing well in the league have gone already! Agree with Captain's first para though - I am doing much better in the league where everyone else supports Norwich or Watford!
A quick reminder, this coming weekend is the first round of the Luis Boa Morte Memorial Shield. Here's the draw: Bye: The Dembele Flops and West London Whites (the latter as Flywhitehigh never did join the league in the end) First Round Draw: Fulhamyself vs Europa Dreaming Megson's Barmy Army vs Dempsey's Revenge FulhamDad13 vs McBride's Legion Tootif vs Cravendale FC Marauders vs FFC Madness 12 Danny Cullips vs Riley's Oley Oley's. Highest points total wins. Draws settled by the Unfair Play League (copyright GeraScores) rule: most disciplinary points lost by the 15-man squad wins. If all is equal after that, goals scored (by the playing 11, not the bench), assists scored, GK or D clean sheets, fewest goals conceded by GK and playing defenders. If none of that separates two teams, an instant replay the following gameweek will be played. I'll post the results here next week.
Well done for articulating this with clarity Captain. I almost understand, but reckon it's best to avoid draws.
FFC Madness ... that's what the wildcard is all about. Swap out the whole team all at once, but you can only do it once a season. I'm saving mine for Christmas, when all those games create some strange results.
Madness, don't worry, just keep thinking that the 2 of us 1 game short of the full set (some creative jibes may follow that wording) so are most likely to prop up the table.
Luis Boa Morte Memorial Shield, First Round results: Fulhamyself 51-48 Europa Dreaming Megson's Barmy Army 48-38 Dempsey's Revenge FulhamDad13 59-78 McBride's Legion Tootif 43-28 Cravendale Marauders 51-76 FFC Madness 12 Danny Cullips 63-65 Riley's Oley Oleys No drawn games to be resolved. The draw for the next round will follow later this week, when I've managed to dry my tears at going out despite scoring 63pts, and stopped laughing manically at the thought of beating QPR 6-0. Man, I'm still enjoying typing that scoreline.
i think you must of counted it wrong CM, lol OJ how can i only get 28 points i think that has got to be the worst score in FF ever Well done to the winners anyways
I am afraid that my head is not in the right place at the moment so I am going to have to declare myself unfit .... to manage my team. I think I have too many Fulham players !!!
Here's the draw for the next round of the LBMM Shield. Ties to be played in gameweek 9, with the same tie-breaker rules as the previous round. Tootif vs The Dembele Flops West London Whites vs Riley's Oley Oleys FFC Madness vs McBride's Legion Megson's Barmy Army vs Fulhamyself So, top plays bottom, second plays fourth, plus two all mid-table clashes. If FFC Madness can turn in another week like the last one, we may yet see an act of famous giantkilling. then again, he is playing the only manager to outscore him in gameweek 7. Good luck to one and all.
Crumbs! I'm counting myself as lucky to get through - bad luck Craven. Looking forward to the next round clash with the Dembele Flops - surely the best named team in the league!
Whats happened to WhatDoesWoyWant? hasn't been posting for a while, know he had a young one to look after, hope things are OK. Had a bit of a nightmare this week with my lowest score of 17, my highest scorer was on the subs bench, with nowhere to go, I was left hoping Mancini would leave my captain Silva on the bench, but he got put on for a whole 1 point doubled to 2, instead of my sub Eagles 10 points. Zamora and Hangeland at 1 point each didn't help.
Thanks for your concern! I am still alive, we had our beautiful son on 26th Sept so I have very limited chances to get online! I am now back at work (I class it as being on holiday in comparison to the last few weeks). I will try to update our fantasy stats tonight! Thanks
