Fulham fans

The Ground isn't empty, it is just that a lot of people are in the concourse area, watching the screens, quaffing refreshments, putting on bets and using the facilities, the seats tend to be filled in the ten minutes before and annoyingly after the kick off. The atmosphere is also affected by the poor acoustics in St. Marys. I listen to Radio Solent during the matches and am in the Kingsland, where the noise coming from the Northam doesn't really impact, I can hear it on the commentory, so I know it is happening, whether it really impacts on the players I don't know, but certainly after the second Fulham goal and the mini exodus, the noise level did rise throughout the last part of the game and really peaked when we got the equaliser. We are not the loudest in the game, but can do it given the right circumstances.

There was a moment during the Fulham game that must have been a minute or two before the equaliser or subs, when it sounded to me that most of the ground joined in the slow "Oh When the Saints..." bit all in harmony and it sounded fantastic; we were just about to break into the fast bit with the clapping when the ref gave a dodgy free kick and we all stopped to moan at him.

at 2 - 1 down there was a few supporters heading for the exit. Why pay all that money if you're not going to stay for the end? I'll always stay to the bitter end, and I've got to travel down the coast home. And with only 1 goal in it as well? They must have regretted it.

Reading this thread you'd think it MUST be those EVIL "middle class" supporters!
