Our league form as been off so far in 2012, although we have played City, Spurs, Utd and Arsenal. Apart from the Spurs game we lost the other three as did the 'high flying' Spurs which looks to have finished our hopes for 4th. Our remaining fixtures now are a bit easier, then again that hasn't reflected on our results so far this season.
I think we will finish 5th or 6th most probably, but would it really matter if Fulham or someone else finished above us also? Yeah, their fans would love it, but thats it. We know we won't get champions league football this year and we already have europa league and one cup so far. Our main focus should be winning the FA cup now as I think 4th is nearly impossible. So fair play to Fulham or any other team if they can do it.
Obviously I don't want you to finish about us, but I see no reason why Fulham can't finish in the top 7. I'm not sure what system you play, but your front 3 of Pogrebnyak, Dempsey and Dembele is excellent, with Ruiz and Johnson also very good. My main worry with Fulham, however, is your inconsistency. Some weeks I simply can't predict what score your games will be. You beat us, Newcastle (convincingly) and Arsenal at home, drew with Man City, then lost 0-5 to United (which isn't overly terrible, but is inconsistent with the other results.) On your day, you're very very good.
Thanks SLFC. Yes we have been inconsistent - that is improving a bit with one or two players moving in the Jan window. Dembele is playing much deeper now and is more a creative midfielder than attacker. We're obviously pleased with Dempsey and Pog, aso AJ fits in very well giving a very mobile front line.
