Not so sure about that Natch. I was under the impression he will effectively move on a bosman.

"With six months or less remaining on an existing contract for players aged 23 or older, they are free to negotiate with other clubs and sign a pre-contract, indicating their ability to move to their intended club on a Bosman transfer once the next transfer window opens"


Thats only off Wiki but I thought thats how it worked too?
 
I said before the summer transfer deadline that we should try and keep our best players, Maynard being the main one...
However, if he's not interested to sign a new contract with us, then maybe we should try and get the most for him....

I do believe though, if we are looking to progress then players like Maynard do not come around very often..

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it works the way I said mate. I remember it happening when Joe Ledley was playing for Cardiff and he ran his contract down and then signed an agreement with Celtic, but couldn't have done it at the time if it was an English club. But like I said, I could be wrong...

We need depth to make a proper challenge.
