I said before the summer transfer deadline that we should try and keep our best players, Maynard being the main one... However, if he's not interested to sign a new contract with us, then maybe we should try and get the most for him.... I do believe though, if we are looking to progress then players like Maynard do not come around very often.. Down to you Nicky....
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it works the way I said mate. I remember it happening when Joe Ledley was playing for Cardiff and he ran his contract down and then signed an agreement with Celtic, but couldn't have done it at the time if it was an English club.
