5 is right, but I agree we'll end up with 3.

Wishlist at the moment based on the 5: Ramsdale, Ait Nouri, Diomande, Raphinha, Sesko.

Two more years down well will see us making a breakthrough. The thing is if you get it wrong it's like driving in the wrong direction for a year.

Honestly don't see us getting another LB without selling Targett for at least £10m (which I can't see), Don't see us signing another striker without selling Wilson first, and my worry is they want to give Minteh a crack at RW before jumping into that position.

Ramsdale is obvious choice for GK but there's story's out there suggesting he's not trusted by Arteta because he's admitted he can't concentrate for 90 minutes.

Our Amortisation rate was getting crazy in last years accounts and I reckon we've added to that by quite a bit last summer. This year Burn, Trippier, Almiron, Wilson and ASM all drop off.

    Minteh will be the RW.

I reckon he’s going to be a success with us.

Only of Howe ditches his old plodder philosophy out of choice rather than a last resort.

I think Minteh will be ok. But we do have a lot of wingers on either side so unless we ship some I can’t see us getting any more.

    We have
    Gordon
    Barnes
    Murphy
    Miggy
    Minteh to come in
    Anderson as cover
    Willock as cover
    Joelinton as cover

I appreciate the last 3 mostly play centrally.

Left back you could argue Hall kicks on and he will be signed.

    But yes another LB.

Livermento is Trippiers long term replacement.

The most important ones for me is

    CM because Longstaff is ****.
Striker because Wilson can’t be trusted.

We won’t be able to ship out Wilson either.

I think the phrase plodder is a little bit unfair. I see why you say that. But the injuries have been horrific. For reasons we have already discussed.

But when you look at the players we have signed since Howe came in. They have mostly been good.

Burn is a plodder though and so are dummett and longstaff and Howe. It's his preferences towards them immense about. I would prefer he gave youth the games.

I agree with the Burn love in. He was stubborn on that one.

Hall has done well since coming in. Burn is better at CB anyways

Anderson is better than Longstaff. So that’s also a weird one.

Howe doesn’t like to experiment though mate.

Howe is like Southgate when it comes to picking players. It's very common actually and I'm wondering if there's something in the manual somewhere that says to do it. Either that or it's favouritism.

Ashworth knew he was going to manure so he insisted on signing plodders to weaken us and keeping all the nuggets for his new team imho.

Gutting that we’d be 6th if only we held on against Everton.
