Remember that game, of course communication wasn’t like it is today, but when we heard the result, great excitement. Adrian Alston the scorer? :emoticon-0103-cool:

After helping the club win promotion to Division Two, scoring the goal that confirmed promotion in a 1–0 victory over Bury, he struggled to reproduce his form the following year and left Cardiff to play in the NASL for Tampa Bay Rowdies.[10] Alston later stated that he enjoyed playing for Cardiff more than any club in his career and had only chosen to accept Tampa's offer due to the money offered to him.[11]

Or any which way you can!!!

Isn't Clint a funny name? If written in capitals join up the L and I and what do you get? With apologies to anyone on here called Clint. I met a Clint in Florida once. I would definitely write his name in capitals.

Clinton Cards written in caps takes on a whole new meaning. <yikes>
And here’s his cake.......

And this cvnt is celebrating his 8th birthday

Ordinarily I'm quite a positive guy... always looking for the glass half full approach.

But.....

Big crowd guaranteed. Bloody Sky turning up like vultures circling, waiting for an upset......

Fulham getting the rub of the green in their last few games..........

I'm feeling a tad worried...... :emoticon-0107-sweat

Because I've got a mate called Dave who is a Bluebird, because I like Neil Warnock (well someone has to and he took us to Wembley for the first time and we won) and because I once met Morrison's mum I am on the Cardiff bandwagon with the hope you make it on the weekend. Good luck peoples I hope you do it.

My glass is always half full , mostly less than half.
So until the final whistle's ( Not just ours) on Sunday .
I'm going to be a bag of nerves.
Hopefully we can do it .
But I've got this dreaded feeling.
Reading can't play as bad as they did against Ipswich ,
We can't play as good , as we did against Hull again.
Nerves , expectations , full house and everything that goes with it.
Then I think , for a moment , if we can't beat Reading , then we don't deserve it .
Then the pessimist is back thinking, Reading were in the play offs last season , with virtually the same players , what if that team turns up Sunday ?
I'm just going to struggle all week , with my head in the shed , until 12:30 Sunday, I won't feel so bad then (I'll be with 30k other nervous souls)
Roll on Sunday , let's get this over with .

Dai - I applaud your confidence but you'd don't realise just how much you saying that worries me.:emoticon-0145-shake
I start getting superstitious. Should I watch, listen or go out for the day?
What worked last time? Noooo, were on sky. Yayyy, we're at home so won' be playing in green.
What to do, what to do.:emoticon-0138-think

Yes it was the Aussie. I remember him in the 1974 World Cup

With a fistful of dollars, going good bad, ugly.. It goes unforgiven... But for a few dollars more, you can paint the wagon <cheers>.

Every season I promise myself to put all little superstitions to bed but as the season progresses I’m back to my old do’s and dont’s.
It’s going to be hell wondering what to wear/eat on Sunday; where to park, which walk up route to take etc<yikes>

Maybe just maybe this is the game where Fulham get nothing from the officials and the opposition click and everything goes in?

Yeah right as if.....<whistle>

Whilst it’d be nice for someone to do us a favour for once, at the end of the day all City have to do, as they’ve done all season, is put away lower half teams. It’s in City’s hands and if NW gets them in the right frame of mind in front of a passionate home crowd, Reading will freeze and City will get the win. (One hopes <yikes>)

Just heading that gunner has had knee surgery and is out for the rest of the season.
Might suit us to be honest!

I can’t wear a City strip to a match following Blackpool <wah>

When city win I wear the same underpants until the run ends. It was a bit iffy when we went on that eight win sequence though...wasn’t expecting that! Had to peel them kax off pals! :emoticon-0172-mooni
