I was talking to a chap who was doing some building work in Bransburton and it was on a house next door to Fryatt. He was told that Fryatt was selling up in order that he could buy a property in the midlands. It was his wife that wanted to move. People have put 2 and 2 together thinking Fryatt wanted out. Thats not the case at all.
What the hell do you mean hatred of Burnsey? Dave is a friend of mine and I see him every summer when I come home. I'm usually his biggest defender when people spout off about him but I just thought that question was bang out of line! He could have asked "have you struggled to find the net because you feel isolated up front?" or he could have asked " do you think you might be more effective if you had a big man to feed off in a 4 4 2 formation" or he could have asked " do you like the fish and chips in Hull" or even "why do you think the performance today was so much better than recent weeks and how confident did you feel ay half time that city could come back and win it" The why are you selling your house question was dumb and even Matty said wow I do'nt really want to get into this! I have emailed David and I think he is sufficiently scolded. Burnsey is a good fella and he does his best but sometimes he can be a bit thick, I'll tell him as much this summer when we go for a pint
some are always having a go at him on here about anything and everything, i just find it a bit unnecessary.. he wont win any broadcasting awards i admit, but i think hes alright, there are the odd exception on here that do have insider info, but he knows more then 99% of people whether they like it or not...he reminds me a bit of alan partridge, which to me is a plus point...
I'm convinced Mr Burns reads this forum. Some of the stuff he comes out with is just from the crap we've been talking about amongst ourselves. I didn't hear him ask the question or Matt's answer so I can't really comment, but the question was rude and Matty was well in his right to tell him to **** off. But like someone above said, if he did answer the question what else was he going to say? I'm selling my house because I'm lining up a move away? Of course not! If I was thinking of an excuse, I would have used the same one as him. I'm not saying he's a liar, I just don't think we should read to much into this.
Actually I got a different impression, can't remember exactly what was said but I got the impression he will be leaving. Think the first bit of the question was about the house selling and fans worrying you want to leave and he did say he would rather not go into that but I took that to be saying he didn't want to comment on whether he would be here or not. He didn't seem to mind giving the reason his house was for sale and just said it would mean a lot of travelling for him. If his house is going to be in the Midlands area then I can't see him travelling to get here for 9:30ish for training then doing the journey again later in the day. He could possibly stay in a "City owned house" for part of the week leaving his wife nearer to her family to help out. Need someone to listen again to the interview and see if they get what I am saying.
Not really. If he says 'I dont want to talk about it' and leaves it at that every single one of us assumes he has had a bust-up and is leaving.
Of course he reads it, he woudn't be a decent journalist if he didn't. 98% of what's on here is ****e, but 2% may have some substance. I've met Burnsy, and I don't see why people have a problem with him, he's just doing his job.
If a decent source for journalists is not606 then God help us all. If Burnsie didn't sensationalise everything and make crap up then maybe he'd have some real sources left. After his take over blunder I rarely believe a word he says from his 'sources'.
Buying a house on the 'wrong side of town' so to speak sounds like a mistake - question is nearer his/her family (to help with the kids) is where exactly? Living in Sutton can take an hour to get to the M62, even longerfrom Brandesburton..
We won't have any strikers at the club at this rate ! Fryatt, Maclean, Cullen, Simpson, Brady, King all could go.
Brady and King have almost exclusively been played as wingers for us. Two, possibly three of those players will still be with us next season.
Fryatt & Cullen is a dead on certainty to stay for me. But I have a feeling the third maybe King ahead of Brady. Would like both though
I'd rather see Ghilas on the bench than Cullen. I have no doubt that will never happen as his bridges seemed to have been well and truly burned with the club. I just find it amusing that Man City can recall Tevez after what he did as they needed to kick start their season( hasn't quite worked out) but for whatever reason we won't even give Ghilas another go. Before anyone says he was ****e last time and he's only playing in the French second division all I'll say is this. He's nowhere near as bad as Cullen, I mean would Cullen be top scorer in that league? No he would not.
