The amount of poor quality fruit in most supermarkets no longer amazes, tasteless, turns quickly and tbph only fit for the bin not long after purchase.

Supermarkets specifically seem to pride themselves on the abundance of variety from a range of countries, but what are they really selling you, non ripe, cold stored, colourful shhite.

Known as perishables, they long perished or never even made it to a ripe stage before hitting the shelves, maybe supermarkets should be made to display the picked on date, rather than the best before date, consumers may find the fresh fruit that we are sold is not as fresh as we are led to believe.

I had noted the lack of colour in your diet via the dinner thread, well unless it involved peas <doh>

I can't eat broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus and some others. Courgette is ok peas are ok but if in doubt I leave it alone. I eat plenty of veg though just the ones I know I can eat. Fruit though just bananas.
