No one at all , why would they be , I would say to your face what I write on here , most people do not follow that rule , as for attention seeking call it what you want it gets attention so something is happening ! I call it passion for the team .

Don't think anyone can say you don't care passionately just sometimes wish it had more of a positive slant!

This early in the season these stats will change a lot with a win like the one we are getting on Sunday. (god willing)

Do the same thing after and we would find we are well on target for survival.

Agree here - I don't find gomarchingin annoying in the slightest. I may not agree with him all the time, being of a more level-headed nature, but if anything, it provides some sort of balance to the discussion; and he starts good discussions in slow weeks. It's also nice to see some of the cliques get broken up along the way as a result. Way more annoying are those who rise to him and repeat the same old crap to his every post - and then, as he points out, Jenny always comes on and starts telling everyone to stop quoting him (which assumes that we all should feel like her about him), then when he replies, someone calls him stupid because Jenny has him on ignore. But they've quoted him, and then Jenny starts again. It's a nightmare of repetition. When he disappears, everyone asks 'where is he now?'; when we win, everyone asks the same. When we lose, everyone forewarns: 'just wait, gomarchingin will be along any minute now'.

However, the people who have the biggest problem with him have actually created him! There is a cult of personality built up around him, which in all honesty he doesn't particularly deserve because he's not really saying anything that is that controversial. He might even admit that himself. But as in wider society in general, people's need for a villain has proven itself to be the driver here. He's like a less offensive (in terms of genuine anti-social behaviour and points of view, such as casual racism etc.) Joey B. If there are people on here hoping he'll be banned and they can get back to their normal lives, I doubt it will happen - because he is actually not offensive. He just offends people.

GOMARCHIN is IMHO the EEYORE of this board , his heart is in the right place & he loves saints , but sees the dark side .

Don't agree with him , but IMHO he is NO WUM & is as entitled to his opinion as everyone is to their's .

I'm shrugging this off on the basis that it constitutes cobblers on a truly monumental scale.

I Think the point should be raised about whoever...........It does not mean when anyone posts who you believe to be controversial that you have to reply or contribute to any post. That is always your choice. As you have an opinion so does someone else. So people do post in a "shall we say negative way". That as they say is their right to do so.
When the poster becomes abusive or is abused we mods then have to intervene. I have to say that mostly, with the exception of a very few respond to a pm from us. Some people do say things that are challenging and for effect. We do try and look out for this. Just remember though folks we mods are not policeman, we are posters first and mods second. Lastly on this point please remember we too have people watching us. We are just as likely we will get a pm saying we have missed something or to take some action or other. That also is true in E mail form too.....Just thought you might like to know that.
Now before I get told off about being off topic......:emoticon-0105-wink:
What is the latest in the Echo...anything not interesting about the club or its players?

To a degree the implication of the original thread is correct.Fulham at home, though not must win in my opinion presents the chance to not get beaten at least.Whatever many keep saying we must start picking up points now to some degree to ensure we maintain a fighting chance later on in the campaign.Though Gomarchinin is maybe over board on the pessimism he does'nt have his head in the clouds like some we cant just assume oh well there is always next week to put things right as every week presents a titanic battle for a positive result.Last season Reading and WEST ham were our big games and the team worked their nuts of to get any points in those four games yet in the context of this seasons fixtures they are small fry that tells me how tough it will be.
My own opinion is we have enough talent to survive but probably only just which would be great but because someone is being realistic i dont feel it makes them a traitor to the cause. coyr

If you were a regular on the Echo Saints Forum you would know that the original post was just a parody taking the mick out of the myriads of doom and gloomers that invade the site every time the Saints lose, those same posters never emerge when times are good, no differrent than on here!

I actually think the the 'Echo' is on a personal anti Saints Wumming mission with all of the negativity that oozes from the rag.

Todays effort is no exception, reporting on something we discussed at length at least three days ago.

So lets get this straight- its absolutely fine to discuss another member at length in a thread. But if a thread title openly admits thats what your doing it is wrong and punishable?!

I am sorry I am at a loss here, what Thread and what post are you referring to? Is this specific to the Southampton 606?

I started a thread a couple of weeks ago discussing a certain inflammatory member of the forum, in a jokey way, and this was closed and I was threatened with banning!

Probably you humour was misunderstood, some people take things a wee bit seriously, best to keep clear of the personal thing, leave that to the mods.
