One Swallow and all that but we've four games to go and two wins and a draw will finish us on 80 points; One of the best points totals from a relegated side since the Premier League's inception.

Just to recall how tough this division is, how long ago were people saying that Forest were going to hunt us down and overrun us when they were on that run? And Wigan too were apparently certainties to reel us in and sh*t on our heads as they climbed above us. Neither has happened and one of those Clubs has imploded. What would a Forest fan give to be in our position now? Derby also were going to sweep all before them but we're neck and neck with them. Fellow relegated Club Reading have fallen out of the top six today whereas we're practically certainties to compete in the upcoming competition.

I hope Redknapp relays these facts to the players and they soak it all in because everything's still to play for and they/we can do it.

    No doubt about it.

It's all good, Swords .................. I'm 100% certain I said exactly the same about Burnley, probably just more recently.
To their credit, they have continued to do well and good luck to them.
Crystal balls can be hard to read and hindsight is a marvelous thing.
At lest you have the balls to make a prediction.

So I am beginning to see things forming (just in time)

We have a striker and a spare now, different but the same,...as long a they say fit.
    (Charlie and the Monster)
    Excellent

We have two players that can play of the striker and score (Benny and Ravel)
    EXCELLENT

We have two providers, but both always injured (Hoillet and Traore (and Phillips but not counting him)
    NOT SO EXCELLENT

We have a captain and his mate
    (Barton and LTom Carroll)
    PRETTY OK

We have a player to come on to see out a game
    (Henry)...OK

We have a goalie who is truly excellent, except for a few slip ups (are they done for the season now please)

We have two good and speedy defenders
    (Simpson and Ned)

And so all Harry has to work out is how to stop the defense from leaking goals, especially at corners!
Me.... I would try Ned with Clint soon......Clint just gives a little more passion than Dunne.

Although Dunne had an excellent match except for the goals..the first one, with the lazy header to give away the corner, was an accident waiting to happen
So we started the season with that record run of clean sheets....and end it, hoping that our leaky defence doesn't cost us

However reasons to be cheerful part 2.... a team is emerging from the shambles
Probably more by accident than design...but COME ON U RRRS
    We can do it

I think that's a good way of summarising the team, qprbeth.

I think you could easily add Nico Kranjcar in there somewhere too.

I've highlighted the captain part of your summary. Reflecting on yesterday's match, I wonder whether we now have the constituent parts - as evidenced yesterday - and now need to add the discipline - a requirement that will be echoed throughout the team by a vocal captain.

Contrast a 5-2 win with the 1-0 run of victories in autumn and there's definitely a more positive feel to it all.

    Ok bumped this up....

Just to point out...we have made the play-offs...with 2 games to spare....no creeping in at the last minute
    So we can plan

    Charlie is back, and scoring
Danny "The Rock" Simpson is back
    Joey is back ....and scoring

Junior is running, Traore has come on leaps and bounds as a wing midfielder
    Benni is scoring

And we have a man who can turn a match in any league Ravel Morrison

Looks like we are playing Wigan....who will be far busier than we are at that time!

Time to be super POSITIVE now...because we are the Rollercoaster Rangers...and we do things the hard way.
    Come on u RRRRRs

Burnley did it in the end sand the Foxes won it and I was totally wrong that we would win it by ten points

I was wrong again but sorry the club was let down by some awful decisions made by management

That's history and now fact so we all go now to the end

Two teams now stand in our way and that shows us all that we failed

We get to play 2 from 36

Wigan I consider are a far stronger team than Burnley or the Foxes

Derby are solid and play without fear and score for fun

    Reading are also very strong

It's all talk now and no excuses look at our squad by far the strongest in the league I don't just hope now I demand success and so should every QPR fan

HR has the test of his career and these players need to play at their best

We fail now it maybe our last chance for a while

We win this thing and then take this core premiership squad back where it belongs and stay there this time

Rebuilding? Then HR should bloody pay for it

How we have got ourselves into this is still beyond me

This fight needs us now and HR doesn't deserve to sit with a QPR fan

Do your job then get out

OK Beth, here's my positive take on things:

We will finish fourth, meaning we will play Wigan and have the second leg at home.
Wigan have an extra game to play before the play-offs, so they are more likely to be affected by tiredness and or injuries.
We have not conceded a goal against Wigan this season.
Our support in the second leg could be a significant factor.
    We will reach the final.

I expect Derby to be our opponents in the final, and on May 24th......

Redknapp will pick our best players and put them in their best positions in a formation that suits them.
We have players throughout our squad that have big match experience and Derby do not.
We have more potential match-winners than Derby.
We will play positive attacking football.
We will play to our potential for 90 minutes for the third time this season (the first two being the semis).
    We will win 3-0.

Later that day we will celebrate our return to the PL whilst watching Chelsea getting thrashed in the Champions League final.

The next day is my 60th birthday.

    <cheers>

Nice take on this Stroller! If I remember the dates correctly I will be away for all for the semis, with probably no way to watch them, and flying back when the final is played. So, as we seem to do better when I'm not watchng, your 60th Eve is going to be really memorable!

Had some timer to kill so just watched MOTD from end 2012/13 season.

There is one negative but let's not dwell on that.

Cisse celebrating with passion. Jamie, flying through the air to put us 2 up and the cheering before their third goal to signify that we were safe.

If this team can play with the determination and passion of that team, we have as much chance as anyone else in the playoffs. Well. nearly as much chance according to the bookies!!

COYRssss!! Buying tickets at 10:00:01 tomorrow.

Sorry RTID but that team blew what would have been one of the best results in QPR's history. In short, they bottled it.

I'll never get over what happened that day.

It is an old wound mate but I still found it exciting even if just to watch Mackie's goal and the crying City fans, albeit temporary.

I do agree with you that they blew it. Our chance to be in footballing history as the minnows that derailed the £0.5b team!! Perhaps next time.<whistle>

I have no ideas on how to get atmosphere up at LR, except for this one:

Do you think they would ever let me take a snare drum to LR? I've actually got a spare one (I'm a drummer) and I'd love to bring it down to LR and bang it a bit for the team.

I know what you're saying bro. I take your point wholeheartedly. You're right that if the players show the passion and desire in the Playoffs that was showed that day, then we've got a bloody good chance.

I just can't get rid of the image of those injury-time goals out of my head!!!

As I recall, there was a drum at Hillsborough when we played them for promotion that season. Every time they attacked and got near our goal, their drummer would start a drum roll that certainly added to the atmosphere. Ultimately it did not help them on that day!

    Interesting idea.

What happened to the drummer in Q block?

There used to be a drummer at QPR back in the sixties. If I remember rightly, he used to be allowed to sit inside the wall surrounding the pitch.

    Bushman will know.
