I remember standing at the back of the Archers Road terrace season 75/76 when Millwall came to call. The Saints fans to my left started chanting " you`ll never take the Archers" at the Millwall fans to my right. The Millwall fans then started walking over to where the Saints fans were, but they`d all scarpered quick time. Anyway, Millwall did indeed take the Archers, without a punch being thrown, or an aggressive gesture being made - their reputation had preceeded them evidently. I remember a few odd characters wearing green surgical hats for some reason.
From what I've researched about it a surgical mask was a calling card type thing from Harry's gang so you knew who was dealing with you You never knew too this day then Aberdeen?
Billy apparently pissed the shammers off by being grabbed around the throat and thrown to the ground, whereby the offending shammer player got red-carded.
It was when we played them in Feb. Sharp tackled Noble who went down theatrically for a (probably correct) penalty. Then for some reason before the pen was taken Taylor grabbed Sharp's next, he went down for a (definitely correct) red card. Anyway they scored the pen, we drew the game 1-1, Sam blamed the Premiership ref and the fans bought it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16921922
I remember you drew there 1-1 and I assume that must have been one of the many reds the shammers picked during that long run of reds
Fat Sam said that Sharp was hit in the chest and rolled around, even after photos of Sharp being strangled were published.
Mick's flying back from Italy tomorrow to drive this around the West Ham area and we'll eventually meet and park up outside Upton Park to keep the locals updated with your score please log in to view this image
