I see you've picked up Jordy de Wijs. If he can find his form and stay fit then you've got a good 'un. Otherwise he can be a liability. He was great for us until he was made captain after that it was downhill all the way. Good luck.
If he doesn’t turn up as a liability we have plenty of top level experience in turning him into one. cheers!
Hard to say. There was talk he'd been denied an opportunity to talk to LA Galaxy last Jan which might have pissed him off if true. He was made captain early last year, justifiably, but his form dropped off along with the rest of the team's, only his decline was worse. Then Covid happened and he never rallied, struggled to get a game. I think it's one of those cases where it's all gone a bit sour and he needs a change of scene.
Hmm... well, it seems like we don't really lose in the situation, seeing as he's only a loan move. Thanks for your input.
It would be interesting to know how many yellows our current back 3, Kakay and Ball have each got, and when any suspensions kick in. I suspect the risk of suspension, injury, sickness, or just needing a rest to our current back 3 before the end of the season must be pretty high, and Masterson could easily get game time., Or maybe simply Warburton doesnt rate him as good enough at present. I've thought he's looked ok mostly when he has played. We could also end up needing both de Wij and Masterson if we are missing a couple of our regular back 3 and need Kakay and Ball in their more usual positions.
