Shouldn't have been ... It was 4 Froch, 2 groves, 1 draw then ko round Froch landed the better punches all fight
Obviously I didn't see it that way... Closest I could see it would be 3 -3 , 1 draw then BOOM Good fight tho...
I know. It was a fight about picking what you liked. Jim watt would have you think it was a one sided beat down. It was good. There will be naysayers decrying it because it wasn't the same sort of fight as the first. But it was very good.
Definitely not one sided...very very close. And a different fight...more technical this time. Good fight.
I dunno. He'd make a few quid of DeGale or Chavez Jnr. Ward would beat him up and not give him as much money. Kessler... Possibly Bika was at the fight but that wouldn't sell.
I had Groves well infront on the scorecards. Groves was landing the better punches, throughout the fight. Not sure what Jim Watt and the other sky commentators where watching, Amir Khan's assessment was spot on. Great punch though by Froch to knock him out, came out of the blue really, as Groves was really dominating. Reminded me of when Lennox Lewis was floored in 1 punch, despite dominating most of the fight. You have to question Groves chin though compared with Froch. Froch can take the big punches and keep coming back for more, where as Groves in both fights has looked vulnerable anytime he's been caught. It doesn't matter how skilful a boxer you are, if you can't take the big shots your not gonna survive a 12 round fight at world title level. Amir Khan for example has amazing skill as a boxer but his glass jaw has always held him back
I think he should push for the Ward rematch. He's got plenty of money anyways, and I think to say that you've beaten everyone you've ever faced at the end of your career would be a big deal. I think he would probably lose again, as he's just to slow for Ward, but atleast he would have given it a go. And you never know in boxing, as was proved tonight, one punch can be the difference
