Didn't realise that, I just remember watching it and seeing Froch being outclassed for most of the fight, there was a couple of rounds that he did ok in, but most of them Groves appeared to good for him. As a gambler on horses, I generally look to back an up and coming horse that's improving race by race, rather than an older more established one that's already reached it's peak and isn't likely to get any better. I think you can apply those rules to this fight. Froch is 36 now he isn't getting any younger, and he got out of jail a little in the last fight, thanks to Groves naivety. I do still think Froch would have won that fight, regardless of the dodgy stoppage, but I think Groves will have learnt from a few of those naive errors he made to allow Froch back in, when he was seemingly coasting. Groves is new to the top table of boxing, and that first world title fight experience will have done him the world of good. He'll be an even better fighter this time round, whilst Froch will have likely regressed slightly in 6 months, even if it's only marginally, it makes a difference at this level
To me, the scorecards were more controversial than the stoppage. If it had gone the 12 then there would still have been controversy. I can't argue with what you say. It makes perfect sense and I hope that us how it plays out.nI'm just not convinced that all of the factors that are supposed to mean something actually will. As ever, hindsight will be 20/20.
The card is underway. Joshua won in a demolition job in 80 seconds or so. Jamie McDonnell on now. A tap kwality fighter. please log in to view this image
He's a good **** imo. I've always liked him. Btw DeGale looked really good there. **** stoppage but a very good performance. I'm delighted for Kevin Mitchell too. Another good guy.

All you real boxing experts out there please enlighten me. What are the rules on the ring size? The way they ae going on about it on the TV you'd think they were fighting in a ****ing phone box.
