I had a 2 1/2hr each way drive for this. loyalty or stupidity? I'm going with the latter. I know it was only a friendly but they never got out of 2nd gear. I think they only used 1 sub too?
Any comments or insights on the match? I only managed to see the last 15 minutes of the 1st half and then we looked very comfortable and in control.
I didn't see it either, but here is a very brief report from WLS. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/another-comfortable-win-for-qpr-in-ireland Mail on Line http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...et-Harry-Redknapp-s-end-tour-Ireland-win.html Official http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/050814-match-report-athlone-town-0-qpr-2-1806694.aspx
It was a bit worrying to see Charlie miss so many chances, especially the one he slashed at with only the keeper to beat. BZ was mom imo; he had a hand in everything, linked up well with the midfield and took his goal well.
caulker looks very good. he's easily 6'5, very quick and not afraid to put in a tackle. interestingly on monday he was practicing corners with Clint hill and was scoring more than his fare share so look out for that in the games ahead.
It seems like a good training run out. The PAOK game this saturday should give more of a true indication of our team and form for the first real test against Hull on the 16th. Not long now. Hopefully we will see a new striker arrive, plus I hope the futures of Loic and Adel will be sorted out by then one way or another.
