Glasgow Celtic will aid Swansea City's Premier League preparations with a pre-season friendly at the Liberty Stadium.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon, who was at Wembley to witness the Swans beat Reading in the Championship Play-Off final, will bring his side to the Liberty on Wednesday, August 3 (7pm kick-off).

The Hoops, 42-times Scottish Premier League champions, will already have kicked off their domestic season but also plan to face Inter Milan and a League of Ireland Select before taking on the Swans.

Celtic boast Gorseinon product Adam Matthews in their squad, along with former Swans target Niall McGinn.

Prices: adults £25, concessions £12.50.

Three days later, the Swans will face Spanish opposition as Real Betis come to South Wales.

Back in La Liga after winning the Segunda Division last season, Pepe Mel's side will play the Swans at the Liberty on Saturday, August 6 (3pm).

Prices: adults £15, concessions £7.50.

Supporters can purchase combined tickets for the Celtic and Real Betis matches. They are priced at adults £35, concessions £17.50.

Welsh Premier League duo Neath and Port Talbot will also form part of the Swans' pre-season plans.

Swans fans will get a chance to see former Swans Lee Trundle and Kristian O'Leary in action against Brendan Rodgers's squad at The Gnoll on Saturday, July 16 (noon). Tickets are priced at adults £10, £5 children, and are available from Neath.

Later that same day, the Swans make the short trip to The GenQuip Stadium to take on Port Talbot (3pm). Prices: adults £10, while concessions are to be confirmed.



Looking forward to the short trip to the Gnoll. I remember games there when Dobbie impressed the year before last (whatever happened to him?) and Bodde was applauded by the 6,000+ fans after the Derby debacle and first injury he suffered. Hope he gets to show his stuff again!
 
The price is even more rediculous, as Celtic have a league match befor and after this friendly. The chances of them playing a full strength side is probably zero.

£25 to watch celtic reserves does not appeal to me. Surely we could have done better.
 
They are linking the two friendly games against Celtic on the 3rd and Real Betis on the 6th together so it is £35 adults /£17.50 concessions for the two games. I'm happy to pay that for the opportunity to watch our premier team prepare for the season ahead.
 
I agree Liberty, plus there are thousands of "new" supporters who where moaning about not having a season ticket....This is thier chance to see thier team at what I regard as a bargain price! Lets see how many of them want to attend these games?
 
As much as i dont like saying this the Swans will screw as much as they can out of the fans this season, whether you are a long time supporter or new to the swans they are going to try and make as much cash as they can, its the way of the world in football these days and swansea will be no different .

After paying for a Wembley Final, season tickets and Jack Army memberships - there are not many who can keep forking out the cash. Success is expensive!
 
this celtic game must be the worse kept secret for a long time, me and my mates knew this two weeks ago..<laugh>
 
yes thats great news and may get as much a 8k+ for some of the games.......this will get the fringe and coming off injury players a better standard of football...happy days...

some of us are going to see how it feels to be a pensioner then, either money for food or heating come winter but also for swans ! be cold and hungry but happy:emoticon-0164-cash:
 
Think £25 is a bit steep for the Celtic match. I think the Real Betis match will be of a far higher technical standard & £10 cheaper!! Know which one I'd rather watch....
 
another question re season tickets prices - we have a 55,00 seater so obviously the top tier wont be open unless for finals when a full house is basically guarenteed

we only have 13 home games - best seats in the house without actually being a stadium member are $395 (UK 245 pound) which includes a scarf, lanyard?, pen, sticker, trg entry , full access to members bar (remember our stadium is used by football, league and union), mbr only turnstile, draw for coin toss, free rail or bus to game, priority ticket allocation for our Final series, all Aust matches in Oz, all Asain Champ League matches (at home) and finally free entry to ladies and youth matches, how does that compare to what is on offer over there. Basically get the same for worse seats at $325 (215 pound) or $250 (165 pound).
