I know that BCFC are supposed to be the "Friendliest" club in the league but I did see a number of Barnsley fans (in fancy dress) being treated really badly by police and stewards at the recent game at the gate. They were directed from pillar to post, told where to buy alcohol by the police, when attempting to have a drink in the park, then ordered into a police van, dropped back at the away end, complete with alcohol, then had their beer confiscated by a steward with the threat that they would not be let in. A group of lads who were out for a good day out and a bit of fun had it ruined by over zealous officialdom. Frendly? I bet they don't think so.
