My house.
Mornin fellow plebs and those rather pompous individuals above! :) its the first Friday thread of the year, the reason for there not being any before is because...there wasn't one! So welcome to the tri-weekly FT, or whenever I feel like doing one!

Enough rambling, I'm not doing an out n out pun thread, I was going to do this at Xmas, but numbers were down so thought I'd leave it and modify it slightly to just Footballers Presents, as it could just as easily be for birthdays, so thats a gift a player would send or receive, 3 to start...

To Luis Suarez - Martin Luther King's Autobiography

To Peter Crouch - 2 Tickets to Hobbit World

From Michael Owen - My Total Fitness dvd.

Off you go...wrap yer prezzies and get em in the post!....

The Bible for Adebayor, hopefully "love of money is the root of all evil" and greed being a deadly sin might scare him into signing a contract on our terms.

How to Lose Friends and Alienate People book/DVD for Luka, as a warning really or failing that we could get him a copy of Tevez's autobiography.

It'll cover up the unsightly tan line of where his captain's armband used to be <whistle>

I'd love to buy a spurs goal for Steffen Freund. If at all possible.
102 appearances and no goals just isn't fair. I think before addressing poverty in Ethiopia and civil unrest in Somalia, this MUST be dealt with.

Gomes - A security blanket
Harry - A Reliant Robin
Joe Jordan - A handbag
Foy - **** all
Delap - A straight jacket
Crouch - A reversed periscope
Modric - An engagement ring

He did score in a pre-season friendly against Stevenage.

Ferguson is probably wishing for some of these to share with Ravel Morrison, Paul Pogba, Danny Wellbeck...

For all Gooners and Mickey Mousers - A reality check. Yes! We are way in front of you, and we will still be at the end of the season!

My wife is Eritrean (part of Ethiopia before independance) I spend a lot of time in that part of the world, the people are wonderful, friendly, happy and honest but the poverty hurts. I've even converted 5 of them to support Spurs instead of l'arse (a Spurs shirt generally does the job).

I'd love Freund to score a goal but sorting the poverty out must come a little higher. My brother in law (who is one of the 5 convertees) has to feed a wife and 3 children on about $24 a month.

Perhaps we could buy Pav a barn, so he can practice kicking against the door.

Or even a

I have a sneaky suspicion that he may not have been entirely serious.

If I'd had thought he was being serious I would have ignored him. However, I know he is an intelligent and witty poster.

When you've lived with those people, experienced their kindness and generosity, I feel obliged to stick up for them at every opportunity, tLaToHP gave just me an opportunity.

I would have still liked to have seen Freund score though.

Fair play, deedub- and I wasn't being remotely serious! Of course, solving world hunger and poverty takes first priority, but sorting out Steffen's stats comes a close second!!

Hats off to you for your support. Im currently doing a Sociology degree, and the previous unit focused heavily on Western extortion of African countries via massively bullying and utterly sickening corporate companies and consortiums. The lessons I learnt about the way the UK (amongst others) runs the famous (perhaps 'infamous' would be more appropriate) Ethiopian flower industry really opened my eyes to the shocking levels of inequality and general p*ss-taking that is still rampant in our 'civilised' world.
