DBC, we're in our best position for years and only five points off the auto slots so for me, with the money made on Wood and Taylor, if we don't invest for a push in the 2nd half of the season would be criminal. If we miss out, rather than building for the future we more likely be looking for replacements for Janssen and Saiz and having to start all over again. We're in with change and Radz should give it a go.

I agree to a certain extent but if you look at the January transfer windows of the teams that have been promoted over the last 3 years it's been pretty minimal with at most maybe 1 major transfer and a couple of loans.
That's what I meant two maybe three of real quality. Every time we miss out our better players, who lets face it want to play in the premier league, just get picked off (and by the likes of Burnley ffs).
But those clubs teams were far further advanced in terms of development than ours currently is. We’ve a bare bones eleven. Couple of injuries and season would be derailed big time
But that's the point there are clubs who have spent big in January but they didn't actually get promoted. The one's who did get promoted either didn't sign anyone or signed at most 1 key player and a couple of loans. January is not the time to try and solve those issues it's the time to add quality if helps to push on.
I won’t be too upset if we give it a go trying to strengthen and fall short on promotion. What would seriously piss me off is see the Derby’s or Bristol add a couple and become the next Burnley or Bournemouth in the pl while we do nothing again in January. One potential addition has been released yesterday by QPR. Steven Caulker. He was great at Spurs but transferred to Cardiff where it didnt work out. He went on loan to Liverpool last season but wasnt kept on so went to QPR. He has had off field problems and needs sorting out by a decent club. He played for England and we tried for him last Summer because we couldnt get Bartley? He is a free agent so worth a punt as long as we can sort his head out?
