Ah the great Humble Pie, I was a big fan too. Saw them at Newcastle Mayfair in 1973 when Dave Clem Clemson had just joined them from Colloseum. Steve Marriotts vocals were on a par with Robert Plant that night and they literally blasted a 2 hour set, oh happy days. I remember Grand Funk Railroad as well, they were fronted by a guy called Mark Farner and went all out to become the loudest live band. The track I remember by them was called 'somebody watching you' but they never made my hackles rise. Loudest band I ever saw was Black Sabbath and even now sometimes I wake up at night still hearing Tony Iommi's thumping chords going round in my head..
